Non-Perforated (Solid) Band:
Like the German-type, the defining feature is its smooth, solid stainless steel band with no perforations. This eliminates weak points, significantly increasing the band's tensile strength and resistance to shearing under pressure, vibration, and overtightening.
Rolled Band Edges:
The edges of the band are smoothly rolled over. This prevents the sharp edges from cutting into or damaging the hose during tightening, which is crucial for protecting expensive or soft hoses like silicone.
Worm Drive Mechanism:
The screw engages with continuous, precision-rolled threads on the inner surface of the band. This provides a smooth and secure tightening action with a very high torque capability. The housing is typically a heavier, more substantial casting or stamping compared to standard clamps.
