Description:
Steel handle Americany type clamp is also know as keyed hose clamp. It is a metal fastener used to secure hoses to pipe connections. Its key feature is an ergonomic handle mechanism that allows quick adjustment of tightness, making it ideal for applications requiring frequent disassembly or readjustment.
Basic Structure:
- Band. Typically made of stainless steell, featuring evenly spaced grooves or perforations to enhance gripping force.
- Screw Mechanism. Incorporates a worm gear or rack-and-pinion system, enabling tightening or loosening via handle rotation.
- Handle. Designed in foldable or fixed styles, constructed from metal to provide leveraged operation with minimal effort.
Operational Principle:
Tensioning Phase (Clockwise Rotation): ① Handle actuation → ② Worm drive engagement → ③ Band serration interlock → ④ Concentric diameter reduction
Detensioning Phase (Counterclockwise Rotation): ① Torque reversal → ② Worm disengagement → ③ Spring-mediated expansion → ④ Radial clearance restoration
